Clubs and Societies at IT Sligo
Clubs and Societies are a great way to make new friends, pursue something you enjoy or try out something new. There are over 70 Clubs and Societies to choose from at IT Sligo. Our advice is to make the most of your time, get involved, get active and have fun.
Every year, we host two Clubs and Societies days at the start of each semester to give students an opportunity to sign up to the clubs and societies they are interested in and to try something new. Our Clubs and societies will continue to operate where it is safe to do so in line with government advise at the time.
Many of the clubs and societies can continue to meet in person this year thanks to our spacious campus and facilities on offer. Clubs and Societies are a great way to settle into college life and are a brilliant way to meet new people of similar interests. We highly recommend you sign up to as many as you can!
IT Sligo offers excellent sports facilities and huge programme of fitness classes. Our stunning location along the Wild Atlantic Way lends itself to some breath-taking natural facilities, allowing us to take part in some excellent adventure sport. The following is a selection of some of our sport clubs:
Athletes, Basketball, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Dance, Equestrian, GAA, Golf, Kayaking, Martial Arts, Motorsport, Mountain Climbing, Rugby, Surf, Soccer, Sub aqua and Swimming.
For those that want to be part of a team and sport is not their thing, joining a society is a great option to give you chance to get involved and meet new people with similar interests as you. You may choose to continue to pursue an established passion of yours or trying something completely new. There is something for everyone from film to gaming to organic farming.
