Welcome to the Department of Environmental Science
We promise you a good learning environment in classrooms and laboratories with plenty of field trips and site visits. There is one-to-one help available from lecturers and from our learning supports. If you are looking for a course with good variety and you want a career with plenty of opportunities to work both inside and outdoors, our Department has the Programme for you! Make a real difference to the environment, increase the health and safety of your workmates, or conserve the past in a range of employments that will reward and interest. If you are not sure which Science interests you, apply for the General Science at Level 6 or 8 and make the choice in second year. Check out the Programme pages to see which one suits you.
What type of student are you?
